Family Visa (JFRV)

Join Family Resident Visa (JFRV) for spouses, parents, and children of Taiwan nationals with registered household. Spouses of ROC citizens can apply for resident visa and ARC based on marriage. First-time spouse applicants receive 1-year ARC, must apply accompanied by spouse. After 3 years of residence with 183+ days/year, can apply for APRC. JFRV holders married to Taiwan citizens do NOT need separate work permit - open work rights. Dependents of foreign ARC holders (not citizens) need separate work permit and must prove sponsoring relative earns NT$53,000+/month average. Family reunification is prioritized in Taiwan immigration policy.
