Buenos Aires has excellent public transportation including subway (Subte), extensive bus network, and affordable taxis. SUBE card is essential. Other cities are more car-dependent.

Buenos Aires has Latin America's best public transit system. Outside the capital, cars become more important though intercity buses are excellent.

Buenos Aires Public Transit

Subte (Metro):

  • Clean and generally safe

Colectivos (Buses):
