Hungary's Golden Visa (Guest Investor Program) launched in 2024 offers 10-year residence permits to non-EU investors. Two investment options: €250,000 in approved real estate investment funds (5-year holding period) or €1 million donation to higher education. As of January 2025, direct real estate purchase is no longer available. No minimum stay requirement. Full work rights included. Family members (spouse, children under 26, parents 65+) can be included. Path to permanent residency after 3 years and citizenship after 8+ more years.
