General Work Visa

For foreign nationals with a job offer in an occupation not on the Critical Skills List. Under the October 2024 reforms, uses a points-based system requiring 100 points based on qualifications, salary level (points awarded above ZAR 650,976/year), years of experience, language skills, and employer status. No longer requires Department of Labour letter - significantly streamlined process. Employer must demonstrate the position couldn't be filled locally. Valid up to 5 years. Can lead to permanent residence after meeting requirements.
