Available as a 1-year multiple-entry visa with 180-day maximum stay per visit. Applied for entirely online at indianvisaonline.gov.in with processing in 3-4 working days. Fee is approximately $80 for US citizens and $50 for most other nationalities. Entry is permitted through 31 designated international airports and 6 seaports. Does not permit full-time employment with an Indian company but covers independent business activities and remote work for foreign clients. Cannot be converted to an employment visa.
