The Student Pass is required for international students pursuing full-time studies in Singapore for more than 30 days. Applicants must be accepted into an approved educational institution and apply through the Student's Pass Online Application & Registration (SOLAR+) system. Processing typically takes about 1 month. Students can work part-time up to 16 hours per week during term (with school authorization), and full-time during official vacation periods. After passing a national exam (PSLE, GCE N/O/A levels), students can apply for Permanent Residency. The pass is valid for the duration of the study program and must be renewed for each new academic period.
